Like most websites, Floorings.com uses a technology
called "cookies" to remember you and the information you are saving.
When you visit Floorings.com we send back a cookie to you, a small text
file that includes a temporary inquiry number, your IP address, plus
any items you've chosen. Your web browser has a special folder on your
computer where it keeps cookies. Cookies cannot harm your computer in
any way. Only the website that places a cookie on your computer is allowed
to read it; no other website may access the cookie Floorings.com places
on your computer. If you are visiting Floorings.com from a computer
that only you or your family use, cookies present no security concern.
If you are using a shared computer in a public environment
(i.e. work, library), others using that computer to visit Floorings.com
can log in as you and potentially access less confidential data, such
as your name or shipping address, but never any Credit card information.
If this applies to you, consider choosing not to be "remembered" when
you register using a shared computer in a public environment. Instead,
log on at each visit.
Cookies make your shopping experience
much easier. Cookie enables your computer to find previously visited

its cookie folder, finds your Floorings.com cookie and tells Floorings.com
that you want to look at the same items again. If you don't want any
information stored in a cookie, you can set your browser not to accept
cookies. However, once you are within https mode, our online store is

Floorings.com has security measures in place to protect
the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.
All personnel data and financial information is transmitted via an encrypted
connection using SSL. As well, all administrative functions are over
a SSL connection. Transfers of data between you, the customer, and our
e-commerce server are encrypted in the following three ways:
-
From the Web customer using SSL and user session IDs.
- Credit
Card Authorizations are done using VeriSign
and Nova.
1. From the Web browser using SSL:
Secure Hyper Text transport protocol (HTTPS) mode
is used during and after a customer Login. Additionally a user session
ID is created. This user session expires after one hour of inactivity.
The Secure Socket Layers (SSL) standards currently supports 128-bit
encryption standard.
For more information about VeriSign in general, please
see: http://www.verisign.com/
2. Credit Card transactions between your financial
institution and us are handled using Nova Merchant Accounts.
Credit Card transactions are handled by Nova Merchant
Accounts, who has structured a professional credit card acceptance method.
Nova Includes the following options and more:
· Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express,
Diner's, JCB, and Debit card processing
· SCAN check verification
· All transactions use A.V.S (Address Verification Service) and all
transactions and funds are processed in a secure environment.
The SET protocol is a collection of encryption and
security specifications used as an industry-wide, open standard for
ensuring secure payment transactions over the Internet.
Because a certain lead-time is common with the types
of products we sell, your credit card is approved ("authorized") at
the time of order, and payment is captured at the time of shipment.
The authorization request is the encrypted electronic message that is
sent from our storefront through the Nova register to your credit card's
issuing financial institution for approval of the transaction. The approval
includes VAS (Address Verification Service) which is a credit card fraud
prevention tool that allows us to verify US customer's address against
the address your credit card issuing financial institution has on file
for you. The approved transaction is stored at your financial institution
until your order is shipped and the card is actually charged.

code of standards. Floorings.com have an absolute commitment to keep
your information secure. The information you share with us is used to
fulfill your order and to keep you up-to-date on the status of your
