Salesperson / Account Manager

We are seeking motivated, high energy professionals for full-time sales positions. Commission based earnings potential with a growing flooring supplier. We have been meeting the wholesale flooring needs of contractors, installers, designers, real estate agents, and investment commercial business owners for over 20 years. Located in the Pine Plains, New York our flooring center is home to wide variety of hardwood, laminate and specialty products. We are looking for experienced sales professionals. You would serve our customers by introducing our products and meeting customer needs.

Job Description:

Job Title: Salesperson / Account Manager
Reporting to: Sales Manager
Salary: to be agreed
Hours: Monday-Friday (As required to do the Job) occasional weekend

Job Responsibilities:

The Salesperson will be responsible for managing assigned accounts and the overall development of new business. He or she will work with customers, prospects and colleagues to achieve the agreed goals of the company. Much of the role will be breaking new sales ground and developing repeat business with customers. The job holder will be expected to contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company.

Job Tasks:

1. Plan and prioritize personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including sales goals, quota and especially time management and productivity. Drive sales growth and new business through phone and onsite sales efforts.

2. Manage and grow customer database and sales according to an agreed market development strategy. Use customer and prospect contact activity tools and system. Maintain and update relevant information held in these systems. Comfortable in an internet environment and standard office suite applications.

3. Sell. Generate sales, respond to and follow up sales inquiries using appropriate methods.

4. Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.

5. Maintain an on-going knowledge and understanding of our industry and products available.

6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both externally with clients and internally with coworkers. able to successfully function independently, superior client service skills, ability to multi task, ability to learn without much training, attention to detail, self motivated.
